North Queensland Fish Farm
We have been supplying our welded wire mesh products to a North Queensland aquaculture customer since August 2012. They had been using other mesh materials to house their juvenile barramundi from 20 gms through to 800gm in size - previous materials had fallen victim to various predators (the local rodent population in particular) resulting in repairs, loss of fish etc. TFS supplies a special 2 metre wide heavy hot dip galvanised welded wire mesh in 15m long rolls - this product is a custom produced item.
I have attached a photo of the “fence” we put up at the end of our ponds for our juvenile fish. The fish are kept in upe to 800g (20g start) with the bird netting protecting them from pelicans, shags and night herons.
We like the product as it is obviously tall so we don’t have to double up smaller rolls, the mesh gauge is strong which makes it more durable and it is easy to work with as the rolls are a good length.
The product has increased our survivability considerably and we are obviously very impressed with the results.
